McSkylin, The New Diva Of GH Music, Biography – Nilsson Bridget Mabena is a Ghanaian born musician and a songwriter, popularly known as McSkylin due to her interest in music.

She was born on 1st February,2005 and a first born of both parent Aboagyewaa Juliet and Foster Adu Boahene, but due to one or two issues she lives with her single mom in Tema community 22 with her step sister Edna Koomson.

She is 10 years older than Edna and Bono by tribe but Edna is half fante and Bono. She began her primary education in Techiman. According to McSkylin, her mother was 14 years when she gave birth to her, so in respective of that she has attended different primary schools before moving to Tema.

Per McSkylin, she attended Saint Lawson memorial JHS in a small society named Bethlehem and completed JHS in 2020. She is now a student of Abuakwa state college. A.K.A, (Abusco) located in Kyebi, Eastern region. Her mates call her by the name “Rhicch lhiving” because her school mom gave her that name.

According to her, she is an average student in terms of academics but she can proudly say she’s a student loved by all teachers because of her intelligence. McSkylin started her singing career at infancy but got to realised the significant of music in her life when she was in Primary three (3). She started composing songs which by then was written for fun making but when she got to JHS 2, her friend Felicia introduced her to a sound engineer called Prince Bee. It was there that all her dreams became reality.

For now she has three single tracks of her own and more to follow up. One of her songs was recorded by D.Cryme. He helped her in making corrections in the lyrics before recording the song titled “Sink In Love”. Prince Bee then recorded her other two tracks.

They have all been helpful to her but all thanks to a lovely mum who support her in the music career even though sometimes it’s not easy to afford but she always try her possible best to make her fulfill her aim as an artist. According to McSkylin, she has not performed on stage before but waiting to do so. She is a shy and somehow melancholic person.

“Music has inspired me in so many ways. Music has taught me how to be the real me. I know I’m not good in making friends but through music I have a lot of friends who sometimes criticize me of being imperfect. I know I’m not perfect in music but the only way to be perfect as being the real me and accepting all the challenges in music. I love music 🎶 I write songs based on my experience, emotions, the environment I am in ,situations other people faces etc. My mentor is Tatiana Manois and I one day wish to be like her”. McSkylin said.
