Black Sherif is my favourite artiste Cecilia Marfo – Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Cecilia Marfo has surprised many music lovers by expressing her admiration for the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ‘Artiste Of The Year’, Black Sherif.
The renowned gospel singer during an exclusive interview on Accra- based Peace FM, shared her fondness for Black Sherif’s hit song, ‘Soja’, declaring herself a big fan of the music star.
The crooner, who has been celebrated for her soul-stirring gospel tunes, commended Black Sherif’s unique style and the lyrical depth of his ‘Soja’ song. The ‘Afunumu Ba’ hitmaker, also added that she would love to pray for her colleague in the music industry someday.
”I like Black Sherif. I am a fan of his and will even want to pray for him. I fell in love with his Soja song the first time I heard it…in fact I cried and I told my husband to listen to the song. I love everything about that guy. Who said he doesn’t know Christ, he knows Christ for himself,” she said.
Cecilia Marfo, to a greater extent opined that there is nothing wrong with secular music since all musicians are contributing to societal development and the improvement of human life through their music.
