Akosua Agyapong Allegedly Threatens Mobilise ‘Nima Boys’ To Stop GHAMRO From Attending Akwaboah’s Funeral – Celebrated Ghanaian highlife artist and media personality, Akosua Agyapong has given an account of how the late Kwadwo Akwaboah, who is well known as known as Akwaboah Snr, was uncared for by the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) when his condition became worse and needed help.
The renowned crooner during a recent interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM on Entertainment 360 last Saturday, May 20,2023, alleged that many times GHAMRO’s executives cheat and neglect artistes when they are so much in need and would rather use the lump of the musicians’ royalties on themselves.
Akosua Agyapong asserted that the 2021 report also revealed that GHAMRO’s executives received GH¢132,000 as sitting allowance and refreshment for their board meetings. She hammered by saying, “If it so happens that in the case of Kwadwo Akwaboah who told me before his death that he only received GH¢250 as royalties, what does that amount to, if not cheating?
She concluded by saying that she will organize some Nima boys to stop any executive member from showing up at the One Week Funeral observation of the legend which comes off on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at his hometown Trede in the Ashanti Region.
